In 78 AD Hindu King Aji Saka settled in Indonesia. In 13th century Islam came, but in 1595 the European came. In 16th century England established its East India Company in Bantam, Portuguese in 1586 came to eastern islands and in 1916 the Dutch obtained the sovereignty of Jakarta renamed by them Batavia. On 17/3/1824, the Treaty of London confirmed the Netherlands in their sovereignty of most of Java.
