As Salam ALykum
This Eid (Alfitr 2004) a total number of 250 greeting cards were mailed from the I.E.S.I to the Muslims in Chattanooga to greet them on this great Islamic Occasion.
The following is the text of the greeting card:
Bismillah Alrahman Alraheem As Salam Alykum - EID MUBARAK
Over the past month, we have fasted, taking no food or water during daylight hours. We have stretched out a hand of mercy to those in need demonstrating the spirit of sharing & love.
During Eid Al-Fitr, we celebrate the completion of our fast and the blessings that comes with it. Around the world, families, neighbors and friends gather to share traditional foods, and congratulate each other on finishing Ramadan, and let their kids have a good time.
The spirit behind Eid Al-Fitr is a reminder that Islam brings hope and comfort to more than a billion people worldwide. Islam affirms God's justice and insists on moral responsibility.
Let’s make the Eid a time to remember for our children and families.
