The tragedy is Gaza is a tragedy for every human being, Muslim or not. With hundreds of children, women and innocent civilians slaughtered since the beginning of the assault we have the obligation as member of the human society first, and as Muslims second to act.

Personal things you can do:

  1. Make supplications for Gaza in each prayer.

  2. Dedicate a fast for Gaza.

Other ways:

  1.  Organize and join demonstrations against the war..

  2. Pass out fliers with facts and figures about Palestine and Gaza in your community (make sure also to mention its relevance to the audience: e.g, US taxpayers paying for the carnage, increase in world instability and economic uncertainty).

  3. Put a bumper sticker on your car.

  4. Do outreach: to neighbors, friends and the whole humanity in everyway.

  5. Start your own activist group or join other local groups.

  6. Do a group fast for peace one day and hold it in a public place.

  7. Express support  to human rights and other groups working on the ground in Palestine.

  8. Contact local churches, mosques, synagogues, and other houses of worship and ask them to take a moral stand and act. Call on your mosque to dedicate this Friday for Gaza actions.

  9. Write and call people in Gaza, they need to hear from the outside world.

  10. Work with other groups that do not share your political views (factionalism and excessive divisions within activist communities allowed those who advocate war to succeed).
