The internship must meet the standards established by the state you want to get licensed at. (average 400 in IL to 2500 in Ca) . This means full-time practice, averaging 40 hours a week, under the supervision of a pharmacist Licensed by the Board of the state. There are also required intern projects and performance standards that must be met to complete the internship successfully in some states. It is the policy of the Pharmacy Internship Board to issue a pharmacy intern license only after notification to this office that the internship applicant has successfully successfully completed the FPGEE®. Some states might accept the intern without the FPGEE® certificate if you proof that you finish the FPGEE®, TSE®, TOEFL® and just waiting for the Certificate. Hot tip The Pharmacy Internship Board will only accept notarize copies of these documents. If you are a foreign graduate you Must finish your FPGEE® before you start counting your hours unless directed by the state board of pharmacy. Check with the board of pharmacy in which you are planning to obtain license at for up to the date info. |
