| Description: | The mission statement of Sisters Halaqa of Raleigh includes women who are interested and committed to the scholarly issues related to the complex lives of women around the world. The issues of concern include, but are not limited to, personal, family, public violence and peace, and how we can use our technology and knowledge to help improve and make a positive impact on the lives we touch and the world around us.
To raise such awareness of these issues and more, on gender and diversity through education, we promote local, regional and international cooperation through networking among various associated women's organizations, and supporting each others contributions to social issues and women's rights. Likewise, we are also committed to inter-faith dialogue in order to demystify the myths and misperceptions of the Muslim woman.
'Verily, actions are by intentions.' |
