Asalaam Alikum all, My wife purchased 7 Abayas from this company and still has not received them. It has been about a month from when she was supposed to receive the Abayas. She has emailed them numerous times and all she gets back is an auto reply that states they will contact her in 24-48 hours but they still have not contacted us. We are now on the verge of contacting law enforcement in order to get our money back. They talk about being proud of being Muslim but I could have sworn that theft was haram. Assalamualaikum unfortunately, I have experienced the same as the last sister. I bought two abayas from Essence of Black and they were homemade versions of the online professional picture. The abayas were seemingly modified thobes! They were awful. When I requested to return the items, they told me to go through their FAQ quidelines for an exchange. Well, their FAQ page is inoperable and I did not want to exchange. After several cold emails from them, I can see they will NEVER give me back my money, so I'm keeping the abayas and modifying them myself. For the sister who returned her items, I would report them to BBB. I wish I could post a review on their site, but they obviously only post or create their own positive feedback. DO NOT TRUST this merchant, they use Islam as their front, yet act worse than the kuffar. Brothers and sisters please be weary of this merchant...run a search before attempting a purchase.
