In the name of Allah the most gracious, the most merciful

The prophet Jesus (peace upon him) was traveling in Aljaleel, part of Palestine, calling people into Allah's religion. Traveling with him there were several disciples. They ran out of food while traveling except for three; the three have hidden their food and started to eat it in secret. Jesus along with the disciples turned into a cave to rest; while in the cave, Jesus called Allah's name and held three big rocks. The rocks turned into gold by the well of Allah. Once rested, Jesus and the disciples continued their journey except for the three. who stayed behind once they saw the shiney golden rocks. The three sent one of them to bring them food and an animal to carry the gold. The one who sent sent did what he was ordered but poisoned the food so he can take all the gold . Once he came back to the cave, his two friends attacked him and killed him to have a bigger share in the gold. The two then rested and quickly ate the food he brought. The poison directly killed them both.

In his way back, Jesus stopped by the cave and found the golden rocks and the rotten bodies of the three dead disciples laying next it. Jesus then said "So is life and those so are who want it, life is a dead body and dogs are those who want it". The preceding story was told by the prophet Mohammed (peace and blessing from Allah be upon him). He also said, "If life weighed as much as a fly's wing in Allah's sight, he would not let the unbeliever drink a mouth full of its water".

Dear faithful brothers

The slaves of this life are proud of their wealth. They think it's the vain which provides life and the controller of all maters in this life. They think its the way to fullfill all needs. But, truly it is like any other worldly good, it comes and goes; and further, it has no value except for the time when it is spent. This life is but play and amusement, but, the hereafter is the true life. Allah all mighty says in Surah 57 "Know ye (all), that the life of this world is but play and amusement, pomp and mutual boasting and multiplying, (in rivalry) among yourselves, riches and children. Here is a similitude; how rain and the growth which it brings forth, delight (the hearts of) the tillers, soon it withers; thou wilt see it grow yellow; then it becomes dry and crumbles away. But in the hereafter is a penalty severe (for the devotees of the wrong)". Allah also says in Surah 18 "Wealth and sons are allurements of the life of this world: But the thing that endure, good deeds, are best in the sight of thy Lord, as rewards, and best as (the foundation for) hopes." So, wealth is not but and allurement, and, spending and doing good deeds is the hope for the hereafter and by it one will be rewarded.

Islam criticizes the lovers of wealth who become slaves to this worldly wealth. The Pophet (peace and blessing from Allah be upon him) said, "Misery will be to those who worship wealth, misery and shame". He also said "Whoever makes the life of this world the biggest of his worry, Allah will make his misery clear in front of his eyes. And Allah divides his unity with his family. And he will not get in this life but what Allah has ordained for him".

The slave of this life and its wealth is always busy following this wealth. He is busy to be with his wife and children or to talk to them . He is too busy to remember Allah or to worship him. Furthermore, he is busy admiring the beauty of this world and nature, forgetting that it's the creation of Allah. The prophet (peace and blessing from Allah be upon him) said that Allah allmighty says "O son of Adam, make time for worshiping me and I will fill your heart with wealth and abolish your misery. But, if you do not do so, I will always keep you busy (following the worldly wealth) and you will always stay poor". That is because misery is in the heart not in the pocket.

Dear faithful brothers

The Islamic life is built on equality in all matters so one can be self satisfied. The prophet (peace and blessing from Allah be upon him) said "Your self has a right upon you, and your family has a right upon you, and your Lord has a right upon you. So, fulfill the right to whom who has a right upon you"

Work is a must in Islam; but, make time in your day to spend it you wife and children, so you can teach them the pillars of Islam. Leave time in your day to pray your daily prayers and to worship Allah. Also, make the time for visiting your friends and relatives. This is the equality in Islam and it is the guide to happiness and self satisfaction. In the other hand, if life is all work, it is not different than the life of a mule in a mill, going round and round and getting nowhere

Dear faithful bothers.

The prophet (peace and blessing from Allah be upon him) said that Allah said, "We have brought down this wealth so prayers can be conducted and charity can be given. Have son of Adam had two valleys full of gold, he would wish for a third; and one will not get his fill except from the dirt (when he is buried)". He also said "If Allah bless you with wealth, let this blessing from Allah be shown on you".

So, wealth is not our goal in this life, it is merely a tool. It is a tool to spend on yourself and your family, it is to spend in the way of Allah and to help in building Masjids where Allah can be worshiped. It is a tool to help the needy.

"Clean your Wardrobe and wear the nicest of clothes; give in charity of what Allah has trusted you with; give of your wealth to those who are dear to you; donate of you wealth to the Masjids and the needy."

"All creation are dependent on Allah, and the best among them are the most beneficial to Allah's creation"

Do not spend all your time gathering wealth. Do not think that you can overcome others by your wealth or force a status for your self in the community. Always remember that you are but a simple human like any body else and the wealth is not but the waist of this life. Allah says in Surah 96 reminding the wealthy of the day when they have to meet their Lord "Nay, but man doth transgress all bounds, in that he looketh upon himself as self-sufficient, Verily to thy Lord is the return (of all)"

Dear faithful brother

If you admire you wealth or thought that your wealth makes you of more consideration; remember death, which defeats all joy. Remember that you will then leave your wealth behind and it will no longer be of benefit to you. Allah says in Surah 69 "Of no profit to me has been my wealth!" The prophet (peace and blessing from Allah be upon him) said "Be in this life a stranger or as a passer by".

You will be then asked about the wealth which you have gathered. You will be asked about the source of that wealth and where it was spent. You will be asked even about the furniture in your home and the joy you indulged in. Allah says in Surah 102 "Then, shall ye be questioned that day about the joy (ye indulged in)"

Do not think that death is far away from you if you are a healthy young man. Omar (May Allah be pleased with him) said "If you live the evening, do not await the morning. If you live the morning, do not await the evening. And save from your healthy days for your sick days and save from your youth for your old age. And save from your wealth for your misery and from your life for your death".

Fear Allah all you who believe.
